Spaghetti Dinner and Silent Auction: a clear picture of Jesus.
Thanks to all you who came and supported our students in raising funds for their summer missions trips by coming to the Spaghetti Dinner and Silent Auction. The beautiful thing about an event like this is that it is truly the church being the church.
Different people were responsible for so many different aspects, which is how Jesus showed up. When we live together intentionally blessing each other and our communities, that’s Jesus showing up.
Jesus showed up in his Body. Dawn Carson setting the whole thing up soup to nuts: hello Jesus. Sue Lauer calling most everyone in the church to get donations, Kelly Fisher donating what will most likely be an immense amount of cooking time for the silent auction, students pushing NLD magnets on everyone who came in the door, everyone in the room singing happy birthday to Gordon Pfeil as he turns 50, all our students auctioning off their time and skills, families with no direct connection to our ministry of youth coming and tucking in to an overpriced spaghetti feast: that’s Jesus alive.
We raised over three thousand dollars to help send our students into Philadelphia in order to enable them to continue this Jesus-blessing in other communities. God uses us to bless each other; thank you to everyone who blessed us with your presence, prayers, donations, and help. What a great evening; thank you Jesus for showing up at our Spaghetti Dinner.

The Spaghetti dinner was a lot of fun! It was great to eat and have conversations with one another. I was able to meet people I had only seen across the sanctuary and I won a great prize at the auction. I think it’s wonderful having people of all ages working, eating and hanging out together! Great job youth.
