What does it mean to share your story?
What does it mean to do this when you are a church?
Here at New Life Dresher we live out of the story of Christ. We call this the Gospel of Jesus. It is his good news, his victorious report of a battle won.
The Gospel is the message about Jesus Christ, who through his life, death and resurrection has changed the whole world. It signifies that God has become one of us, dealt with evil once and for all in the Cross, and that he is bringing all things together new under King Jesus.
This good news changes us showing us that we do not have to be perfect cookie cutter church goers who always put on a happy face. We realize that every work or performance that needs to be done was done in Christ. Now, we give our lives away in service as Jesus did. The service God calls us to shapes community as we serve one another as a body and bear each other’s burdens. This message about Jesus also compels us outward to love our neighbors and our neighborhoods. Not just that our neighborhoods would be better places, but that throughout our region, our country and our world would be made new by our service.
